Celebrating National STEM Day this week with our 7th and 8th graders at our Bonito Campus!

Much thanks to Eddie Diaz and the entire team at Discing4Kids for offering disc golf clinics to our elementary students during the month of October! What a great way to spend a little time outside with friends after school!

Today is National Authors Day 2022! Come out to Bright Side Bookshop this afternoon from 3:30-5:00 p.m. and support local authors, including our very own Ms. Emmanuelle! You can say hello and get your signed copy of her book, See, Hear, Feel: Mindfulness for Children One Moment at a Time.

Happy Mystery History and Trick-or-Treating Day! Thanks to Viola's Flower Garden for hosting our PreK-2 students at their amazing Pumpkin Patch over the past week. From story-time to relay races to pumpkin painting, the field trips were a great way to celebrate the season!

Have an hour of time tonight? Want to collaborate with a fun, focused group looking to make great things happen for the FJA community? If yes, then come to the PTO meeting at 5:15 pm. at our Cedar Campus. All are welcome and we need you!

Calling all cyclists! This Friday is Bike to School Day for Cedar Campus students and parents. We'll meet up at Jay Lively at 7:30 and enjoy a brisk ride to school together. A light breakfast will be provided for all riders. Hope you can join us!

We have amazing teachers at FJA, all with unique talents and strengths! This year, we are recognizing our 6th-8th grade art teacher, Matt Clark, with a nomination for the 2022-2023 Coconino County Teacher of the Year. In the words of his students, Mr. Clark is a “wise, chill, patient, funny, encouraging, and kind" teacher. One student notes that he "inspires everyone to live creatively and freely, no matter who they are." Thank you, Mr. Clark, for being such a caring adult in the lives of our students and for being a calm and steady anchor for our school!

FJA is looking for caring, thoughtful individuals who are passionate about supporting students in the classroom to serve as FJA classroom aides. If you or someone you know is interested in making a positive impact in children's lives and working with a great team of educators, send your resume to Carissa Morrison at carissamorrison@fjacademy.com

Our first and second graders harvesting zucchinis and making bread together before the break!

Thank you to Ms. Robyn and all of our student singers, speakers, and ASL signers for a beautiful reminder of the power of peace!

Come make a positive difference at FJA through the PTG...new members welcome!

Thanks to Ms. Mitchell for taking alternating 6th grade homerooms out to Elden Pueblo recently. And thanks to Mr. Cola for leading the students back at campus in making soap carvings. Fun and educational either way!

Kudos to all the FJA teachers who've recently spent off-contract time writing Donors Choose grant projects. Since the beginning of this school year alone, FJA classrooms have had $7,000 in projects funded! These monies directly benefit students. Didn't get a chance to donate yet? It's quick and easy and we still have five projects in need of funding. Just click below to get to the FJA Donors Choose homepage. You can make a positive impact now!

FJA is thankful for Flagstaff Bone and Joint! How great to receive a check in the mail from them that totaled the exact amount of money they took in for providing $10 sports physicals to our students! Thanks to Flagstaff Bone and Joint for keeping students at the center of what they do.

Thanks to all of our coaches and club sponsors! For a middle school with less than 200 students, our community really steps it up to provide so many extracurricular activities to our students. Click on the link below to see all that is being offered at FJA!
