Flagstaff’s Future is Bright! Congratulations to FJA’s 8th Grade Class of 2025 — a remarkable group of artists, athletes, scholars, creators, dreamers, and doers. Each one brings something unique to the journey ahead. High school, here they come!

Here's the last FJA Family Newsletter of the school year: https://5il.co/3icea. Hope your summer is off to a great start and happy reading!

Mark your calendars and bring your appetites— the PTG's final restaurant fundraiser of the school year is happening at Chipotle on Milton Ave this Tuesday 5/20, 4-8 p.m. Let’s make this last hurrah count!
Here’s how you can support:
1. Dine In or Take Out: Mention “Flagstaff Junior Academy” at checkout or show the fundraiser flyer on your phone. This step is important so we get credit.
2. Order Online for Pickup: Use code P42ZQAH in the promo field at checkout on the Chipotle app or website. Remember, delivery orders don’t count—pickup only!
3. Spread the Word: Share this event with friends, family, and fellow burrito enthusiasts.
Chipotle will donate 25% of event sales back to our school—if we reach at least $150 in total sales.
Let’s wrap up the school year with a burrito in hand and a boost for your PTG!

Thank you Ms. Angerbauer and Mr. Hearn for chaperoning this year's Close-Up trip to Washington, D.C.! Can't wait to see all the other photos and hear about the experience once students get back to Flagstaff!

It was special to have so many grandparents and "grand" people visit our Cedar Campus this week for sharing activities, the book fair, and our annual door decorating contest. Thank you for spending time with us and being such important parts of students' lives!

A huge congratulations to our 7th and 8th graders for their outstanding showing at today's Coconino County Math Competition. It was FJA's second year participating, and our Snow Wolves showed growth, had fun, and worked well together in the relays. A special shout-out to Ms. Goodell and our 8th graders, who took 2nd place overall!

Today is National Administrative Professionals' Day. When you see Ms. Adi, Ms. Annie, and Ms. Nancy today, please join us in thanking them for all of their hard work and commitment to FJA. Their hats are many: medical support staffers, graphic designers, student soothers, database managers, always-with-a-smile greeters, reliable communicators, and chaos coordinators! Our school is fortunate to have three amazing women--all with teaching backgrounds--running our offices and supporting the entire FJA community. Thank you, Ms. Adi, Ms. Annie, and Ms. Nancy!

FJ has been hanging out and making mindfulness jars at the Bushmaster Family Faire today...will be here for another couple of hours if you want to stop by and say hello!

A great day for literacy at Cedar! We had our last PALSmobile date of the year and Ms. Carrie's Culture Club students visited to read the personalized books they wrote for our kiddos. Hip, hip, hurrah for reading!

Today is the last day to order the FJA 2024-25 Yearbook. Scan the QR Code or go www.OrderYearbook.com to order. You'll create an account, link your student to the account, and use session number AZ115745-007509 for Cedar Campus students and AZ127920-007510 for South Beaver Campus students.

From Walk-a-Thons to Gear Swaps to ice cream/bake sales, FJA students have fun while raising money for the family portions of our end-of year field trips. Most recently, thanks to Fratelli Pizza for donating almost $500 to our 8th Grade San Juan River Trip through their FJA 10% Tuesday Event. And thanks to all of you who supported local business and had Fratelli's for dinner back or choose FJA for your school tax credit donation: https://www.fjacademy.com/o/fjacademy/page/donate

Loved recognizing our talented instructional aides yesterday on National Paraprofessional Appreciation Day! Their hard work and dedication make a daily difference in our students' lives and provide support to teachers in countless ways. If you see one of these folks around on campus, please join us in thanking them for the valuable impact they have on our whole school community!Â

Excellent research and presentation skills were on display this past week when Ms. Shawna's, Ms. Conway's, and Ms. Cernohous's classes invited Children's House students over to learn about insects. Thanks for sharing your knowledge in such a fun way!

Nothing like a brisk before-school run to get pumped up for the day! Thanks to Ms. Tati and Ms. Patterson for starting our Friday Morning Running Club!

Congrats to 6th grader Fiona G. and 8th grader Lukas M. Their art entries both won the Annual T-Shirt Contest and will be featured on this year's student-designed and silkscreened t-shirts and hoodies. Order yours by April 2nd! You'll look great and support FJA field trips in the process! Order here: https://forms.gle/wSd5UcdYx3WFFdzK6

Thanks to NAU for hosting our students at today's Link Up Concert! Mr. Williams prepared our kiddos well for the big stage and the entire experience was a blast!

This Just In! Fratelli's Pizza will donate 10% of all their downtown location sales on Tuesday 3/18 to support FJA's 5th and 8th graders' river trips. No presentation of flyer needed, but share this info with friends and family and plan for pizza tomorrow.

Our PTG is hosting a restaurant fundraiser this Wednesday 3/5! When you dine in or take-out at Someburros that day, just show this flyer or mention "FJA Parent Teacher Group" at checkout and 30% of your bill will go directly to our PTG. Thanks and please help us spread the word.

Good vibes at the Glow in the Dark Dance tonight. Thanks to Ms. Mitchell, Ms. Goodell, and Ms. Tsinnijinnie, our parent chaperones, and the Student Council for making it all happen!
