Our PTG showered us with kindness this December! From hosting a Parents' Night Out to coordinating staff end-of-semester feasts at both campuses to heading to the forest and donating trees to our school and families, they made sure we felt the love. Thank you to this small but mighty group for making our holiday season lighter and brighter!

Thanks to all students, families, and staff who supported the Winter Arts Showcase at Bonito! The art on display and musical performances were excellent and 6th grade students raised approx. $1,600 in chili sales for Camp Colton.

Thanks to Graham Hagerty and Andrew See of NAU's Maker and Extended Reality Lab for recently hosting our Robowolves First Lego League Team. It was truly inspiring! Good luck to the Robowolves and the FJA Tech Squad as they both compete tomorrow in their first Robotics Competition at Coconino High School!

Ms. Kacie Sloan, an FJA 3rd/4th Grade Teacher, is a Nominee for the Coconino County Rookie Teacher of the Year Award! Ms. Kacie is a wonderful teacher who has brought so much joy and light to our school in her short time with us. Whether it's lending a thoughtful ear, taking time to help a student who isn't in her class, or sharing more than her load on projects, Ms. Kacie does it with a kind heart and bright smile. We are fortunate and thankful to have her as part of our team of caring and talented educators. Congratulations, Ms. Kacie!

This week's Mountain Bike Club ride spanned four grade levels and three generations! Thanks to club sponsor Neil Ross, as well as Adam Paquette, Sabrina Carlson, and all the other guest riders who have been sharing their passion for riding with our FJA students this semester!

Thanks to Ms. Donatell's Community Service class and Mr. Williams' Music Improv class for making our Thursday fun! Baked goods and good music--a great way to start the 3-day weekend!

Thanks to Cedar students and parents who participated in Bike to School! We had a great turn out and hope to have another Bike to School event in the spring. Thanks also to PTG for providing breakfast for all riders!

The cold temps have arrived. Ms. Barbara's students enjoy the season with apple picking and homemade applesauce!

Creative, fun costumes all around at tonight's 5th/6th grade Halloween Dance! Thank you to Ms. Mitchell, Mr. Cola, Mr. Irwin, Ms. Carrie, Ms.Ellisha, and Student Council for hosting. And another special thank you to the best school-dance DJ ever--parent Michael Felts!

Thank you to W.L. Gore and Associates for awarding our school with a $2,000 grant to put towards students' experiential learning opportunities. We can't wait to spend the money in our efforts to extend learning beyond classroom walls!

Thanks to Ms. Jessica and the Flagstaff Public Library for bringing the Palsmobile to our youngest students. The students look forward to this day each month and love picking out new books!

Recent service learning experience at Flagstaff Family Food Bank. In two hours, Ms. Donatell and students packed 243 produce bags that will be given out to families. Thankful for the opportunity to contribute!
