Ms. Kacie Sloan, an FJA 3rd/4th Grade Teacher, is a Nominee for the Coconino County Rookie Teacher of the Year Award! Ms. Kacie, as her students affectionately call her, became an invaluable member of our school community from the moment she was hired, putting in countless hours (before her contract even started) to get to know our school and help out as needed. She attended events, volunteered in classrooms, took part in planning meetings, and spent countless hours setting up her classroom and curriculum. Truly a wonderful educator, she has brought so much joy and light to our school. Whether it's lending a thoughtful ear, surprising her team with
a coffee stop, taking time to help a student who isn't even in her class, or sharing more
than her load on projects, she does it with a kind heart and bright smile! Ms. Kacie shares her
innovative ideas with her team and brings great energy and some very cool teacher tricks to
her colleagues. She is reliable, hardworking and so dedicated to her craft. Ms. Kacie goes so
far above and beyond, her students are very lucky to have a such a kind, caring and
thoughtful teacher. Congratulations, Ms. Kacie!
