Barbara Dornan, Lead Teacher 
Barbara Dornan is Montessori certified (AMS) for the Primary level (3-6 year olds). This is her ninth year at FJA. Barbara taught and directed a public school preschool for ten years, and had always incorporated Montessori ideas into her environment. She brings a joyful enthusiasm to the class! Barbara believes that a good Montessori foundation will stay with your child throughout his/her school years. She enjoys teaching the young children, and it shows in her class.
Carrie Riedemann, Assistant 
Greetings & Salutations! My name is Miss Carrie. I am both an employee at F.J.A & a parent of a student attending. I’ve been married to my husband Dietrich for 18 years this June. For the past 15 years he & I have been raising our two “wonderful” children… Hannah 10 & Nikolaus 15. Background: I was born & raised in Bemidji, Minnesota, a small university town approx. 1-½ hours south of the Canadian border. I spent most of my childhood being a tomboy – I ran around with my brother & his friends catching leeches, crawfish & playing in the dirt [sometimes with my dolls if they were hungry for a mud pie]. As a child & as an adult I enjoy the outdoors where I love to hike, camp & explore. I am or have been involved in… CC running, skiing [downhill, Nordic & water], power lifting, and of course fishing [lake & ice]. I love being outdoors, so anything like collecting bugs or identifying plants intrigues me. I am a life long learner. I consider all life’s experiences, whether positive or negative to be great learning opportunities. I encourage all children to embrace erasers. They are a great resource for teachable moments – not “mistakes”. I’m a strong advocate for educating the whole child. In the classroom I will honor your children for who they are as individuals. I thank you for trusting me to do just that.
Christopher R. Hochuli, Assistant 
Christopher first came to Flagstaff in 2002 after graduating from High School in Tucson, AZ. where he was born and raised. He received his Bachelor's in sociology from NAU in 2006 and received his Master's in Applied Sociology this past spring. He is an active person; Enjoys sports, the outdoors, and comic books. This will be his first year wsorking for FJA after substituting several times this past spring.
