I was born in South Jersey, in the woods just outside of Philadelphia. The mix of urban and wilderness help give me a well rounded outlook on life. I studied English and Philosophy for a few years before moving to Flagstaff in 1997 where I began to pursue music. I graduated from NAU with a bachelors of Arts in Liberal Science, focusing on music and psychology. But while I was graduating I was also putting together a non-profit youth-empowerment program with a few friends that would eventually become the Indigo Movement. It was through this organization that I came to work at FJA, teaching music as well as after-school programs. I worked on the project from 2000-2002 when I decided that I needed to follow my heart and pursue a career in music. While I was working as a musician, I had the opportunity to substitute teach at FJA and even taught English at the middle-school for a year. But once again I needed to accomplish a few things in the music world. Finally, as I had achieved and experienced what I need to with music, a position at the Cedar Campus opened up and I was primed and ready to take it on. This year I am back at the 4th street campus. Besides teaching, I also really enjoy skateboarding, kung-fu and the peace of gardening.
