FJA Middle School offers an Accelerated Program. This program provides a learning environment for students with the ability and desire to excel in their studies. Our mission is to create a challenging curriculum using a variety of teaching and learning techniques that will accommodate students who have the ability to learn at a level beyond that of their peers. Some of these techniques include critical thinking, discussion forums, and debate. The AP curriculum provides opportunities for cross-curriculum learning, student mentoring and self-directed education reinforcing some of FJA's Montessori principles.
Our middle school is located at 2301 N. Fourth Street. We are a close-knit community with high academic and behavioral expectations.
Curriculum - The middle school curriculum meets Arizona state standards with a low student to teacher ratio. We allow students to become self-motivated and involve themselves in activities that build self-esteem and responsibility. The curriculum includes an intense study of Visual Arts, Music, Spanish, Social Studies, Language Arts/Literature Study, Science, Physical Education / Health, Math (Ranging From Arithmetic To Geometry), and Life Skills.
