FIRST Lego League

This will be FJA's second year participating in the FIRST Lego league programs. These two programs are exciting opportunites for kids to have fun building with Legos while sparking interest in science, technology, and engineering. There are two leagues, each of which meet once a week after school from mid August until December. We have dedicated volunteer coaches as well as high school mentors from Coconino High School's pre-engineering program.

Jr. Lego League (ages 6-9) http://www.usfirst.org/what/jfll/

This is a non-competitive team of 2 to 6 kids meeting for 6-8 weeks. The kids have a blast building and solving their own challenge while presenting it to their families and friends.

FJA has two teams of up to 10 kids.

Girls on the Run (3rd-5th graders)

This will be FJA's first year hosting Girls on the Run. This character building program lasts 12 weeks and ends with a 5K run. Please see their website for more information.
