Hello everyone! I teach an assortment of science classes, dance, and a few others at FJA.
A little bit about me…..
I grew up outside of Detroit, MI but I have always had a passion for the desert ecosystems in the southwest. I have lived in Flagstaff on and off for 10 years and earned both my B.S. in earth science education and my M.A. in science teaching from NAU. I taught middle and high school science in Asheville, North Carolina for 3 three years before moving back to pursue my master’s degree and focus more on environmental science and ecology education.
I am an outdoor enthusiast and love to spend my time being active outside….either hiking, biking, camping, kayaking, snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing…whatever the season has to offer!
My passion for science and teaching students about the natural world around us keeps me motivated to continue learning new information whenever the opportunity arises. I enjoy traveling to new places and learning about the culture, languages, landscape, and local plants and animals.
